Kit Schulte has over 25 years of experience in management, marketing, publishing and curating. She worked as a product/project manager and producer for private companies and cultural institutions in San Francisco and Berlin. In 2000 she founded Culturelounge, a nonprofit arts organization, establishing a platform for dialogue within an international network of artists and curators. In 2006 she co-founded Cain Schulte Gallery in San Francisco, which became Kit Schulte Contemporary Art upon her return to Berlin in 2009. In Berlin, she continued her ambitious exhibition program showcasing many artists from the US, the UK, Israel and of course Berlin. She has placed large scale art work in form of painting and drawing in several public and private collections. Since 2014 she is running the non-profit organization Satellite Berlin and continues to be service the commercial art world in the areas of management and consulting.
With her art consulting services, Kit provides managerial structures and project and budget planning for collectors, dealers and artists. Kit has a keen understanding of cultural differences in the American and German art markets and partners with galleries, dealers, and artists mainly in these two countries. Kit is driven by capturing glimpses of cultural developments, in which fine art is intersecting with and reflecting the developments in the natural sciences, as well as in architecture, film, literature, music and technology. Her ability to network and pursue opportunities for transdisciplinary and cross cultural collaborations enables her to refine ideas and execute these into actual projects, no matter how big in scale.
